Iron Ore is a mine-able resource used in crafting machines, traps, turrets, and other devices and is one of the most valuable resources in StarForge. It can found deep underground, or in and around craters found along the surface.

Iron Ore is used for crafting higher quality materials, such as sturdier Iron Blocks and Doors, as well as Vehicles and other utilities.
